Best swimsuits for this Summer 2020

Elegant and timeless, the black swimsuit is the essential piece to have in your dressing room, like the little black dress.

This season, the black swimsuit is invading our locker room and slipping into our suitcase for the holidays. Because we never have too many bikinis, we fall for this must-have that bends to all fantasies.

Why fall for a black swimsuit?

There are many best swimsuits to hide tummy bulge if you’re fat but hey don’t worry if you’re thin, The black swimsuit is a safe bet. Sober and timeless, it highlights all body types and all skin tones. Whether you choose it in one or two pieces, it brings the right amount of chic and ensures a “whaou” effect on the hot sand.

And then, we are not going to lie to each other, we also like its slimming effect which flatters our figure. Nothing better than a pretty black bikini to strut around with confidence all summer long.

Which black swimsuit to choose?

This year, the black swimsuit follows all the trends. In bikini, one-piece or trikini version, it is adorned with ruffles, lacings, lace, shells, jewels and other canons ornaments.

If you’re a fan of one-piece swimsuits , opt for the sophisticated asymmetrical model by Chantelle or the couture one-piece by Tatiane de Freitas. For a sexy look on the beach, play on a maxi-low-cut or high-cut version for infinite-looking legs.

We love the vertiginous and irresistible necklines of the Princesse tamtam and Passionata swimsuits.

If we prefer the bikini, the two-piece will give us the air of pin-up, especially if we opt for a retro model with high-waisted panties. Adorned with ruffles, macramé lace or pretty golden details, it reveals all its elegance.

In short, we like its simplicity and its chic side which makes its small effect!

How to accessorize a black swimsuit?

Worn far from the beach, the black swimsuit, both elegant and classic, is a flagship piece of the summer wardrobe. To be right on trend, we associate it with shell jewelry .

A floral skirt, denim shorts and gold sandals are enough to spice up our outfit for a lunch by the water or a stroll to the local market.

The black one-piece with ruffles or off the shoulders can be worn day or night as a bodysuit. Slip it under a skirt with heels for the evening or with jeans and sneakers for a casual look during the day.

As for the bikini, black has the merit of being associated with all the prints and all the colors. We wear it just as well with a striped shirt as with a polka dot skirt or a denim piece. And for the more daring, we upgrade it with a designer garment or a haute couture bag.

World map to rub off

scratch map

A scratch map is a great gift for frequent travelers. You can hang the world map on the wall and scratch off any country that you have already visited. So the map becomes more and more colorful over time.

A great gift idea. We have often given the card away and it was always well received! It is also a very affordable gift for around 18 euros.

Enamel mugs with travel motifs

Enamel cup

In the online shop Draußgänger by our blogger colleague Sebastian Canaves there are many great enamel mugs with different travel motifs. In addition to general motifs, there are mugs from different countries, e.g. B. South Africa, New Zealand and Canada .

The perfect gift for anyone who wants to take a piece of their favorite travel destination home with them.

A wonderful gift for all travelers.

The cork globe not only looks really cool, you can also use pins to mark where you’ve been in the world or maybe just where you want to go next.

The pins for marking are conveniently available!

An individual calendar

Calendar Pixum example

We make a calendar like this every Christmas for our parents and grandparents. So far we have always made them by hand, ie bought a blank calendar, had photos developed and then glued them in there.

However, since we were traveling around Asia for Christmas last year, a new solution had to be found: we simply put our calendar together online and it was printed and ready for Christmas by the recipient in the mailbox.

With 15 euros this is also a great additional gift and the recipient is not only happy about the gift once, but also benefits from it all year round.

Photo frame money box

Money gift: picture frame as a money box

Simply giving cash is kind of stupid. But to be honest, it’s often the best gift. So the recipient can really use it sensibly.

The solution is to pack it simply sensibly and nicely, such as. B. this picture frame, which is also a money box.

So you can not only pack your money gift nicely, but the recipient can continue to use the picture frame as a money box.

Unfortunately, traveling is not free, so it often makes sense to put a little money aside on a regular basis.

With such a pretty money box, that’s a lot more fun and the Best Travel Gifts for Her this 2020.

It is a kind of combination between a travel guide and a travel diary. The small notebook therefore contains city maps, street directories and information about means of transportation and opening times, as well as space for your own notes.

Included are also twelve stickers, detachable pages and a hinged, washable film that can be placed over the city map to draw your own notes. Practical for anyone who likes to plan their trips well!

The Travelogue travel diary is available in three colors and with eight integrated scratch cards, where the recipient can rub off their visited travel countries. There are 64 lined pages that offer space for ideas and thoughts with the date and location.

Battery charger for on the go

Battery for on the go

We use our power bank almost every day and always carry it around with us at all times. If you want to gift someone who cannot live without a full smartphone battery, a power bank is the perfect gift idea.

We recommend the external charger Anker PowerCore. With 10,000 mAh you can charge the cell phone approx. 3-4 times.

But when flying, you should remember not to put the battery in your checked baggage, because that is prohibited. You can take the power bank with you in your hand luggage without any problems.

Silicone bottles

Refill tubes for the trip

Until recently, after every short trip, we threw away the small plastic bottles that can be bought in any drugstore because they broke.

During our last trip planning we discovered these silicone bottles and old Swede: they are awesome! Yes, they are only silicone bottles, but they not only make travel easier, they are also much more sustainable than throwing away plastic bottles all the time.

They even have plugs, so you can just stick them to the tiled wall. If you don’t know anyone who you can make happy with it, just give it to yourself. We would do it! Here are the darlings.

Kindle Paperwhite: an ebook reader

Give away a Kindle

We are actually both yesterday’s readers of paper books. But on the go, a Kindle is super handy.

In the meantime, we both decided on a Kindle and are really happy about it.

So if you know someone who likes to read and travel, you’ve already found the Best Travel Gifts for Her.

A great custom Kindle case

Kindle case travel

But also for those who already own a Kindle, there is a super nice gift for globetrotters: a great Kindle case.

When Jenny bought her Kindle, she fell in love with these great cases. There is a suitable individual cover for everyone.

Luggage scale

Luggage scale for travelers

This is a must-have, especially for people who fly with hand luggage! Unfortunately, most airlines are now very strict about being overweight, so it is really worth weighing your hand luggage beforehand.

It is not a particularly nice start to your holiday if you want to repack everything or even pay extra at check-in.

The digital luggage scale is a great additional gift, e.g. B. together with a well packed gift!

Leatherman

Pocket knife as a gift for travelers

A Leatherman is the perfect multifunctional tool for on the go to open bottles and cans, to cut sausage and cheese or to cut down a tree. We actually always have ours with us and it has served us very well.

Since we are traveling in Southeast Asia with hand luggage, we had to leave it at home with a heavy heart and have actually missed it very, very often. This way you can make travelers not only happy when traveling, but also for everyday situations.

Travel pillow

Travel pillow
Travel pillow

Jenny doesn’t travel anywhere without it. There is nothing better, especially for stomach and side sleepers, to lie down on your own cozy pillow after a hard day’s travel. Absolute must-have for all travelers.

The pillow hardly takes up space because you can roll it up (see picture), is suitable for washing machines and dryers and is therefore officially perfect for any travel destination.

A gift that will make everyone who travels a lot happy.

Knife-fork-spoon on the go

Travel cutlery

The spork, as the cutlery combination of knife, fork and spoon is called, is really a very cool invention and a great gift for travelers.

We use the Spork especially on train journeys! So you can pack a kiwi or spread for rolls.

Of course you could just pack plastic cutlery every time. Alternatively, you would rather do something for the environment and simply have a Titan Spork on hand that you can use again and again and, above all, always have with you.

Really practical and useful gift for environmentally conscious travelers! Thumbs up!

A take away hammock

Hammock gifts travelers

A great gift idea for travelers who travel to warm countries or travel a lot in nature in their free destination is a hammock to take away.

It weighs only 500 grams, can be packed super small and is very easy to hang up. Sounds fantastic, doesn’t it?

A great gift that makes you even more looking forward to your next trip!

To the travel hammock and inflatable kayak fish finder 2020

An instant camera

Gift for photographer Instax

There are probably not many people who do not want an instant camera. Of course, it doesn’t replace the digital camera on the go, but it’s the perfect addition!

An instant camera is not only a lot of fun, but is also an absolute icebreaker in many countries. The Fuji Instax is definitely a great travel gift and we predict that the first film will be blanked out on Christmas Eve.

Headphones to switch off

Our new Sony headphones.
Our Sony headphones.

If you travel a lot, you have to switch off. Especially on the go there are often situations in which you cannot do this without aids, such as. B. at the airport, on a plane, on the train or maybe just by the pool.

We don’t go anywhere without our headphones. Because with them we can disappear into our own little world and just switch off.

Brand new in our luggage is the new wireless headphones from Sony (MDR 1000x),  with which we can simply switch off the ambient noise with one click. Awesome part!

You can also adjust the headphones so that you can e.g. B. missed no important announcement at the airport. Oh, we don’t want to give these things up anymore!

Our urbanears
Our urbanears.

If you don’t want to spend 400 euros for a gift, there are of course even cheaper options.

We also have Urbanears  with us , which you can fold up, just like the Sony headphones. At just under 50 euros, they are relatively cheap and also look chic.

A travel safe

Pacsafe

You don’t have to be a security fanatic to want to protect your valuables from theft.

And yet, too few travelers are concerned about how to ensure that their valuables are securely packaged.

We have been traveling for years with the 12 liter Pacsafe, a wire-reinforced bag that can be tied to a fixed object with a steel cable and a combination lock.

Most thefts happen on occasion and we don’t offer these opportunities by stowing our laptops, passports, credit cards and also our cash in the Pacsafe.

A great gift for all travelers who don’t want to worry about their valuables.

If the recipient does not take laptops with them when traveling, the smaller 5 liter version is often sufficient.

Magnetic cable ties

Magnetic cable ties as a gift for travelers

There really isn’t much more annoying than knotted headphone cables that are so confused that it takes a lot of effort to get them apart. And that applies not only to headphone cables, but also to everyone else.

With a magnetic cable tie you can give many travelers an incredible pleasure! Because they not only look chic, but are also really really practical and versatile.

You can z. B. also great as a bookmark or just use as a normal magnet on the fridge.

Cable organizer

Cable organizer as a gift for travelers

For travelers who love order, a cable organizer is a great gift idea. Because you can not only tie individual cables together, as with the magnetic cable ties, but also have all cables sorted in one place.

Finding the right cables is more fun if you don’t pull them all out of your backpack at once.

This will make everyone happy who is order-loving and likes to have everything organized even when traveling.

A new stylish backpack

A backpack as a travel gift
Our backpack from pinqponq

You can actually always use a backpack. It is super practical to have a backpack that is suitable for everyday use, day or weekend trips and also for traveling.

We have chosen the Pinqponq Blok Large as our new favorite backpack. With 40 liters, he can also fly into the cabin.

The great thing is that it can be expanded thanks to the duffel bag style at the top and only then reaches its full size. This makes it not so bulky and you can also use it as an everyday backpack.

What’s even cooler is that the backpack is made from recycled PET bottles. Great right?

Anyone who likes to travel in style is happy about the backpack. The backpack is only available on the pinqponq website.

These are the mega collection of Best Travel Gifts for Her this 2020 and hope it was useful.

Traditional 50th Wedding Anniversary Gifts and Ideas 2020

The golden wedding is an important milestone: a happy event that not everyone can celebrate. That’s why  traditional gifts for 50th Wedding Anniversary  must be as special as the event itself.

Usually occasions like these are celebrated with the whole family in full: the 50 years of marriage are one of those events able to bring together all relatives, at least the closest. The ways to celebrate this anniversary are varied: a lunch, a dinner, the renewal of vows … Although it is not a real wedding but a party, there are many couples who at the end of the event give their guests a small candy. Sometimes even just simple sugared almonds: as always, what matters is the gesture. The favor is in fact given to thank all the people for having taken part again in an event so important for the couple.

The guests in turn give gifts to the couple, to celebrate the union again. What is given as a traditional 50th wedding anniversary gifts?
Usually it is customary to make gifts for the home, such as precious ornaments. This is because it is unlikely that a couple with 50 years of marriage behind them may need “useful” objects for the home such as a food processor. Some also make separate gifts for her and for him, but given the occasion, the idea of making a unique gift for both of them is nice.

As for the budget to be dedicated to a similar gift, the style of the couple and their spending possibilities must always be kept in mind, however, being an important occasion, the budget is usually over € 100. Given the desire to make a precious gift, many people prefer to join and take an important gift as a group. This is certainly a way forward and advisable where you cannot manage to give the gift you want on your own.

Here are some gift proposals. If you are interested in other details related to this type of event, we recommend that you browse the section dedicated to wedding anniversaries .

COMMENT: The voice to head by ELF Technology will be used to fake the Maitreya in due time. It has been used by CIA to control many of the mass shootings for example, “Columbine”, Ft Hood, etc. As strange as it sounds, this technology goes back to 1971 as the links on the verichip shows.

COMMENT: On a previous posting I identified how this maitreya will speak on TV without opening his mouth. Also, the technology is available to talk to people like speakers but by nanotechnology or ELF transmissions the transmissions bypass the ear canals and are “beamed” directly into the brain parts that control the ability to hear the transmissions. Reference the mass school shooting, FT Hood, Columbine, Virginia Tech; etc. The person is sort of a walking antenna using the Electromagnetic circuitry inside the bodies makeup. “Behaviour modification is a key component of peace enforcement”

(Steven Metz and James Kievit, The Revolution in Military Affairs and Conflict Short of War (US Army War College, 1994).

Many of the non-lethal weapons under consideration utilize infrasound or electromagnetic energy (including lasers, microwave or radio-frequency radiation, or visible light pulsed at brain-wave frequency) for their effects. These weapons are said to cause temporary or permanent blinding, interference with mental processes, modification of behavior and emotional response, seizures, severe pain, dizziness, nausea and diarrhea, or disruption of internal organ functions in various other ways.(Steve Aftergood,Softkill Fallacy, Bulletin of Atomic Scientist, September, 1994)

Synthetic telepathy is a term used to describe the beaming of words, thoughts, or ideas into a person’s mind by mechanical means, specifically, some type of electromagnetic transmitter, similar to a radio or television broadcast, operating in the microwave frequency band. In recent years thousands of people have come forward claiming to be victims of this frightening technology.

Physiological effects have been observed in a human subject in response to stimulation of the skin with weak electromagnetic fields that are pulsed with certain frequencies near 1/2 Hz or 2.4 Hz, such as to excite a sensory resonance. Many computer monitors and TV tubes, when displaying pulsed images, emit pulsed electromagnetic fields of sufficient amplitudes to cause such excitation. It is therefore possible to manipulate the nervous system of a subject by pulsing images displayed on a nearby computer monitor or TV set. For the latter, the image pulsing may be imbedded in the program material, or it may be overlaid by modulating a video stream, either as an RF signal or as a video signal.

The image displayed on a computer monitor may be pulsed effectively by a simple computer program. For certain monitors, pulsed electromagnetic fields capable of exciting sensory resonances in nearby subjects may be generated even as the displayed images are pulsed with subliminal intensity.

In the 1980′s the neuromagnetometer was developed which functions as an antenna and could monitor the patterns emerging from the brain. The antenna, combined with the computer, could localize the points in the brain where the brain events occur. The whole product is called the magnetoencephalograph. Acoustic levitation

A famed Swedish aircraft designer, Henry Kjellson, observed and recorded heavy stones, each about a 1.5-meter cube, being lifted to a position 400 meters above them by monks using musical instruments. The technique required thirteen drums and six trumpets, complemented by about 200 priests, all placed in a specific pattern. When the trumpets were blown at about two blasts per minute, the stones reportedly would rise and follow a prescribed trajectory to the top of the cliff (cf. Henry Kjellson, Forsvunden Teknik, Copenhagen, Nihil, 1974).

A team of scientists at Intersonics, Inc. of Northbrook,Illinois, has recently accomplished what may be the first prestidigitation, lifting a one-ounce steel ball using nothing but sound waves

Who Sank the South Korean Warship Cheonan? A New Stage in the US-Korean War and US-China Relations

Tanaka Sakai

Translated by Kyoko Selden

Introduction [Updated May 24, 2010]

At 9:22 on the night of March 26, the 1,200 ton ROK Navy corvette Cheonan was on patrol when it was severed in two and sank in the waters off Baengnyeong Island, a contested area twenty kilometers from North Korea, the closest point of South Korean territory to the North and to Pyongyang. Forty-six crew members died and 58 of the 104 member crew were rescued. It was the worst ROK naval disaster since 1974 when a navy landing ship capsized killing 159 sailors.

Nearly two months later, the elaborate political choreography of explanation and blame for the disaster continues on the part of North and South Korea, China and the United States. The stakes are large: ranging from an easing of tensions on the Korean peninsula to a new stage of fighting in the Korean War. With polls in early May showing that 80 percent of ROK citizens believe that the sinking was caused by North Korean attack, tensions have remained high. While segments of the US, European and Japanese mainstream press have exercised caution in jumping to the conclusion that a DPRK ship had attacked the Cheonan, the international media have shown no interest in following the leads opened by South Korean media and citizen researchers. The article that follows does not resolve the case by any means. But it exposes anomalies in official accounts and invites scrutiny of a range of intriguing issues that call for further investigation.

An ROK-sponsored investigation, with technical support from the United Kingdom, the United States, Sweden, Canada and Australia, led to a May 20 ROK government announcement that the submarine was sunk by a DPRK torpedo. Case closed. What is evident, however, is that important issues have been ignored or suppressed by the US and South Korean authorities.

In the article that follows, independent journalist Tanaka Sakai hypothesizes about what may have happened on the night of March 26 and after. Drawing on ROK TV and press reports and photographs, some of which were subsequently suppressed, Tanaka places at center stage a range of factors, some fully documented, others speculative, that have been missing, distorted, or silenced in US and ROK narratives: they include the fact and location of the US-ROK joint military exercise that was in progress at the time of the incident and the possibility that the Cheonan was sunk by friendly fire. Tanaka presents evidence suggesting the possibility that a US nuclear submarine was stationed off Byaengnyong Island and that a US vessel may have been sunk during the incident. He also considers anomalies in the role of US ships in the salvage and rescue operations that followed, including the death of an ROK diver in the attempt to recover that vessel.

At stake are issues that could rock the ROK government on the eve of elections, and could impinge on the US-ROK military relationship as the US moves to transfer authority over command to ROK forces by 2012, and to expand the role of China in the geopolitics of the region. There are implications for tensions between North Korea and the US/ROK on the one hand, and for the permanent stationing of US nuclear, and nuclear-armed, submarines in South Korean waters. Above all, there is the possibility that renewed war may be imminent in the Korean peninsula at a time when the ROK has cut off all trade with the North and is moving toward demanding the imposition of UN sanctions.

Tanaka’s analysis, published on May 7, was among the earliest attempts to engage important anomolies in early ROK official accounts. We publish the full original contribution while noting that some of its suppositions were subsequently disproved. This includes the hypothesis that the USS Columbia was sunk, while leaving open the possibility of the loss of anothr US ship. The USS Columbia subsequently returned to Hawaii. Core issues that Tanaka raised, however, remain unresolved and ignored in media accounts. In locating the incident in the context of the US-ROK military exercise Foal Eagle, held provocatively close to North Korea, the author invites readers to consider the plausibility that North Korea’s primitive ships could have sunk the radar- and sonar-equipped Cheonan and escaped to North Korea at a moment of maximum ROK-US readiness. And, if it did, that the ROK would remain silent about the event in the immediate aftermath. He reflects on possible motives for an attack by North Korea, but also consider the attractions of claims of a North Korea attack for the ruling ROK party interested in undermining the credibility of the North and exciting nationalist passions among voters on the eve of a major election. These are but a few of the issues raised in the article that follows, and in the investigations of other researchers appended to this article below.

Mark Selden

On 26 March, 2010 near Baengnyeong Island (White Wing, also known as Baekreong) to the South of the northern limit line, the maritime demarcation line between South and North Korea, South Korea’s large patrol boat Cheonan (Heaven’s Peace) exploded and sank. Already, more than one month after the accident, the cause of the sinking has not been confirmed. In early April, the South Korean government announced that either a torpedo struck or an underwater mine exploded, sinking the ship, indicating that it was not destroyed by an explosion or accident inside the boat but by an external cause.

However, it remains an enigma as to who fired or set off a torpedo or underwater mine. The South Korean right, claiming that a North Korean semi-submersible ship fired a torpedo, demands that the South Korean government launch a revenge attack on the North. The left and pacifists in the South suggest that the warship may have touched off an underwater mine installed in the 1970s by the South Korean military to prevent North Korean infiltration and still left there.

136 underwater mines were installed in response to the tensions in the Yellow Sea and, ten years later, fewer than ten percent had been removed

Baengnyeong Island is only 20 kilometers from North Korea in an area that the North claims as its maritime territory, except for the South Korean territorial sea around the island. At present there are two demarcation lines on the sea. South Korea and the US (UN) claim that the Northern Limit Line (NLL), which runs just north of Baengnyeong Island, is the demarcation line between North and South. However, since 1999, North Korea has claimed that the Military Demarcation Line further south is the border between North and South. About 5,000 South Koreans live on Baengnyeong Island and regular ferries link it from Inchon. In the reconciliation between North and South in the year 2000, North Korea recognized this ferry route and the sea around the island as an area where South Korean and American boats can navigate freely. At the same time, North Korea has regarded American and South Korean boats entering the sea area beyond that as violating the economic zone of North Korea.

Map of Baengnyeong Island (2)

In the vicinity of Baengnyeong Island South Korea constantly confronts the North Korean military. The Cheonan was a patrol boat whose mission was to survey with radar and sonar the enemy’s submarines, torpedoes, and aircraft, and to attack. If North Korean submarines and torpedoes were approaching, the Cheonan should have been able to sense it quickly and take measures to counterattack or evade. Moreover, on the day the Cheonan sank, US and ROK military exercises were under way, so it could be anticipated that North Korean submarines would move south to conduct surveillance. It is hard to imagine that the Cheonan sonar forces were not on alert.

South Korean military spokespersons told the media immediately after the incident that the probability of sensing torpedoes two kilometers away with sonar was over 70 percent. Later the probability was reduced to over 50 percent because the water is only 30 meters deep. This reduction, I believe, is for the purpose of theorizing North Korean responsibility for the attack.

The patrol boat sinking; doubling the area of the search

A US Submarine that sank by the Number 3 Buoy

The sinking of the Cheonan remains unsolved. But around the time of this incident another sinking occurred that has hardly been reported in Japan. Near the site of the sinking of the Cheonan, a colossal object, which appears to be a US submarine, was found to have sunk. An ROK underwater team searched for, and on April 7 South Korea’s KBS TV showed, a US helicopter carrying what seems to be the body of a US soldier. KBS is a public broadcasting station with the highest credibility in South Korea.

Following the sinking of the Cheonan, in the course of conducting an underwater search, a member of the special unit of the ROK Navy, UDT-SEAL (Underwater Demolition Team, Sea Air Land) Han Joo-ho, lost consciousness and later died. This was a secondary disaster. While collecting information on the death of Warrant Officer Han, KBS learned that his memorial took place neither near where the rear of the ship was found (the first buoy), nor near where the head of the ship was found (second buoy). Rather, it was six kilometers away near the third buoy, between the first and second buoy, that is, at a location that had nothing to do with the Cheonan sinking.

A map provided by KBS TV. The third buoy to the East of Baengnyeong Island is where the head of the Cheonan sank, and the rear of the Cheonan sank to the West.

The map of the search generally reported: two black dots to the South of Baengnyong are where the halves of Cheonan reportedly sank. The third buoy is not shown.

US and ROK troops at work searching the sea several hundred meters from the cliff of the island. The first and second buoys where the Cheonan sank are both separated from the island by about two kilometers, and are not right in front of the cliff as shown in this Yonhap News photo. This is likely to be the place of the third buoy where the US submarine sank. But there South Korean reports claim that this is the location of the search for the Cheonan survivors.

This site is the source of the maps and photo.

(When a boat is discovered on the sea bed, divers connect a buoy with a rope to the sunken boat, so that the location can be specified from above. After the explosion split the Cheonan in two, the two halves separated, drifting on the fast tide. They were discovered 6.5 kilometers apart.)

Warrant Officer Han, who dove at the third buoy, lost consciousness and later died. KBS, while investigating UDT-SEAL and other sources on the sea bed at the location of the third buoy, learned that something like a large submarine had sunk and that the interior of the submarine was quickly searched under US military jurisdiction.

The US military so rushed this search that it did not wait for decompressors necessary for underwater search to arrive before sending ROK troops underwater. Although the safe duration of the time for diving is as short as fifteen minutes, the US military pushed ahead to make the Koreans search the complex interior of the boat so that even skilled UDT-SEAL personnel lost consciousness one after another. And in that situation, the accident involving Warrant Officer Han occurred. Some UDT-SEAL officers claimed that “US divers declined to carry out such a dangerous operation, so they made our ROK team do the work.”

A Suppressed KBS TV Scoop

ROK and US authorities did their best to hide the fact that a US submarine sank at about the same time as the Cheonan. The ROK authorities did not announce the sinking of the US submarine, nor did they call Warrant Officer Han’s death an accident which occurred while searching inside a US submarine. Instead, they announced that he died while searching for Cheonan survivors’ bodies. Warrant Officer Han was honored as a national hero.

South Korean honor guard bearing the coffin of Han Joo-ho

However, the memorial for Warrant Officer Han was performed not at the site of the Cheonan, but at the site of the sunk US submarine. US Ambassador Kathleen Stevens and Commander-in-Chief Walter Sharp of US forces in Korea attended. They praised Han and offered solatium to the bereaved family. The attendance by high US officials and monetary payments probably were for the purpose of suppressing anti-American sentiment that might blame the delayed search for Cheonan survivors caused by the precipitous US search for its own victims, resulting in Han falling victim.

An object like a corpse pulled up from the sea at the third buoy was taken away not by an ROK helicopter but by a US military helicopter. This too suggests that what sank at the third buoy was not an ROK ship but a US military boat.

The search and recovery of the Cheonan was given to a civilian company and the command of the operation was in the hands of a Korean barge. The search at the third buoy was conducted by a special ROK UDT-SEAL team and the latest ROK light-weight aircraft carrier, the Dokdo, served as the command center. What can be assumed from this disparity is that the US and ROK military prioritized the search for the American submarine at the third buoy over the search and recovery of the Cheonan. This is especially the case for the US military, which commands the ROK military. After the incident, the start of the search and recovery of the Cheonan was delayed, probably because US and ROK authorities prioritized the search for the US submarine.

KBS TV in the 9 o’clock news featured this under the title, “The Mysterious Third Buoy. Why?” Subsequently, a number of ROK newspapers and magazines reported on the incident. The ROK authorities vigorously criticized these reports and sued KBS for “false reporting” and maligning the government. After the trial, the KBS website had to stop displaying film and articles about the incident.

The Mysterious Third Buoy. Why?

A gag order was issued to the UDT-SEAL team. When it was found that the problem of the third buoy was not about the ROK authorities but about the US military, official pressure increased and KBS and other Korean media stopped reporting on the incident. As in Japan, the Korean media, which is subject to American authority, seems to share an implicit rule not to inquire into US military matters.

A Nuclear Submarine Armed with Nuclear Weapons was Underwater?

KBS, which reported on the existence of the third buoy, was criticized for filing a false report. Thereafter, the possibility that the Cheonan was attacked by an American submarine was regarded as a dangerous and groundless rumor, and was virtually suppressed in South Korea.

However, the suspicion that the Cheonan sank as a result of friendly fire surfaced within the South Korean media immediately after the event. On the day of the incident, ROK and US forces were conducting the joint military exercise Foal Eagle to the south of Byaengnyeong Island. According to a joint US-ROK announcement, the exercise was to have been completed on 18 March, but the actual exercise was prolonged to 30 April. On the day of the incident, the exercise was underway. After the incident, the US-ROK authorities made no mention of the fact that the joint military exercise was in progress. But the day after the incident, various ROK media and newspapers reported that the Cheonan might have been sunk by friendly fire during the military exercise.

The Cheonan and the “suspicion” of inadvertent attack during the ROK-US Joint Military Exercise

In response to the report, ROK authorities acknowledged that the military exercise was in progress, but stated that it was not taking place near Byaengnyeong. Rather, it was off the coast of Taeon, Chungchong Namdo, which is about 100 kilometers to the south of Byaengnyeong. ROK authorities announced that the Cheonan did not participate in the military exercise. But a high-speed ship can reach Byaengnyeong from Taeon in two to three hours. Since last year, the DPRK has been criticizing the US and ROK for threatening activity in approaching its maritime area during ROK-US joint military exercises. This time, too, US and ROK ships may have gone north close to Byaengnyeong island. If the Cheonan had sunk during the exercise, the ROK authorities, in order to avoid criticism from North Korea, would not make such an announcement. Although the authorities announced that the Cheonan did not participate in the exercise, it is possible that the announcement deviates from the fact.

The Jaju Minbo of the ROK (left wing) analysed the KBS News report. What is interesting is the analysis of the geographical environment of the third buoy where the submarine sank. The American submarine sank in the offing several hundred meters off the coast near cliffs that are called Yongteurim Rocks, on the southern side of Byaengnyeong. Around Byaengnyeong Island there are many shoals where submarines can run aground while underwater, but the sea in front of the cliffs is deep. There, the northern and eastern sides are divided by land and if North Koreans tried to watch Byaengnyeong from their territory, they would not be able to locate a US submarine on the south side of the island. North Korea recognizes the sea area around Byaengnyeong as ROK territory. A boat moving underwater near the island would not be attacked by the North Korean military, making this a safe hiding place for a US submarine.

On the basis of this kind of geographical information, novelist Soo Hyon-o, a specialist in military affairs, told the Jaju Minbo: “Perhaps the American submarine adopted a posture of near war. Meaning that it can send a missile toward North Korea during an emergency while underwater in the sea near Byaengnyeong Island. Using the sea around the rocks as a base, it can intercept DPRK communications from the opposite shore of the island.”

Jaju Minbo: “Did the North Hit and Completely Sink a US Submarine?”

Byaengnyeong Island is the nearest point in South Korea to Pyongyang . . . about 170 kilometers. For the US-ROK military, it is the best place to counterattack in the event of emergency, and it is also well placed for radio interception. If the US places a submarine near Byaengnyeong Island and it stays for a long time, in the event of a North Korean attack on Seoul, the submarine can fire a missile within minutes.

A submarine employed for such an operation is undoubtedly an atomic submarine, which can stay under water for one month. An atomic submarine extracts oxygen using electric power generated by the atomic reactor on the boat by electrolysis of sea water. Unlike a diesel submarine, such a boat does not have to surface at all. Many US atomic submarines can be loaded with nuclear missiles. In order to counter North Korea, which claims to be armed with nuclear weapons, the US military might maintain a nuclear-armed submarine at all times near Byaengnyeong Island, the closest point to North Korea.

If the US and ROK military installed a missile aimed at North Korea on Byaengnyeong Island, they would be fiercely criticized by North Korea, which would agitate ROK citizens who regard citizens of the North as their brethren, necessitating removal of such a missile. However, a US submarine loaded with atomic missiles underwater near the island would have the same effect as a land-based missile at a time of emergency. It would not be known by the North, nor would there be a need to inform ROK citizens about it. Thought about in this way, the possibility of a US submarine armed with nuclear weapons being near Byaengnyeong Island is almost greater than its not being there.

Many US atomic submarines have more than 100 crew members. They operate the submarine by night and day shifts, so the crew is large. If a US submarine sank under the third buoy, there could have been many victims, their number comparable to those who died in the Cheonan incident. There is also the fear of radioactivity leakage. What the US military hastened to recover from the sunken submarine could have been a nuclear warhead. That is why the UDT-SEAL team of the ROK military was made to conduct the search hastily. Warrant Officer Han’s death on duty occurred in the process.

The sinking of the Cheonan was widely reported immediately, but the sinking of the American submarine was concealed by the US government, and the ROK authorities were made to assist in the concealment. The reason for concealing the sunken submarine is probably to prevent North Korea and ROK citizens from knowing that a US submarine was underwater near Byaengnyeong Island for the purpose of attacking North Korea in time of crisis. If that fact became known, the North would be angry and attempt some form of retaliation, and anti-US sentiment among ROK citizens would be fanned. But, because KBS and others reported on the sinking of the US submarine, even though handled as an error, the North can be presumed to have grasped the steps of this event fairly well.

When military secrets were exposed by the sinking of the Cheonan, the military started to take measures

Mistaking the American Submarine for a North Korean Submarine?

The discussion so far has not come to the most important question: why did the Cheonan and the American submarine sink? I will address this now. The Jaju Minbo article, which analyzed the report by KBS TV, writes that a North Korean submarine came South, attacked the Cheonan and the US submarine, and may have sunk both boats. However, in my view, the possibility of the North having done this is extremely low.

Right after the Cheonan sinking, the US and ROK governments announced that there was little possibility that the Cheonan sank as a result of North Korean attack. If there had been a North Korean submarine attack, the North Korean government, after a few days, might have proudly announced that it had sunk both ROK and US boats. If US and ROK governments announced before then that the sinking was probably not the result of a North Korean attack, both governments would risk being criticized by citizens, and high officials would have had to assume responsibility and resign. If it was truly not an attack from the North, the US and ROK governments would be expected to quickly announce that it was not from the North. Jaju Minbo, a leftwing newspaper close to North Korea, perhaps simply wanted to show the power of North Korean military.

As noted, a US-ROK joint military exercise was in progress that day near Byaengnyeong Island and it is highly probable that the Cheonan was at the site as part of the exercise. If a military exercise was going on, then other US and ROK ships were present. So if a North Korean submarine did attack, the US and ROK would have fiercely counterattacked and sunk it. Even if they failed to sink it and it escaped, if there had been an attack from the North, then the US and ROK could stand in the position of justice for simply having defended themselves, so they would immediately have announced that such a battle had occurred.

The North feared that the US and ROK would use the joint military exercise as a pretext to move north and attack its nuclear facilities. Pretending to conduct a military exercise as a cover for a real attack is a plausible US military strategy. For the North to attack in such a situation would be suicidal as it would give the US and ROK a pretext for war.

If the boat was not sunk by an attack from the North, the remaining possibility is that an error occurred. I suspect that the US military had not informed the ROK that an American submarine was stationed underwater near Byaengnyeong Island. If the American submarine that sank at the third buoy was underwater for a long time, it follows that it did not participate in the joint exercise that day (it had other duties).

I think it likely that the US submarine, which was off the coast to the south of Byaengnyeong, happened to approach closer to the shore than expected and ROK forces, mistaking it for a North Korean submarine, fired. When the US submarine returned fire, both boats sank as a result of a friendly attack due to a misconception. The US submarine must have known of the approach of the Cheonan with the use of a passive sonar used for receiving communication. But if the American military was keeping the presence of the submarine secret from the ROK, then the US submarine could not communicate by radio with the Cheonan.

The Cheonan was attacked from the port side. The ROK authorities announced that the Cheonan at that time was heading northwest. If that is really the case, then the boat’s port faced the open sea. The American submarine underwater near the shore would have attacked from the island side, the reverse of the open sea side. This contradicts the above hypothesis. Except, in order to hide the friendly attack by the US military ship, the possibility exists that the ROK authorities announced the direction of the Cheonan in reverse. (If they announced that the Cheonan was attacked from the island side, then the North Korea attack theory would not be possible and the suspicion of a friendly attack would become stronger.)

China’s Role in North-South Arbitration After the Cheonan Incident

Following the sinking of the Cheonan, media and political circles in South Korea uniformly expressed condolences. Concerts and entertainment events were canceled one after another. The rightwing suddenly became active, demanding that the government “counterattack North Korea.” ROK local elections will take place in June. The Cheonan political situation will greatly influence the campaign.

Donald Kirk, an American reporter in South Korea, who is familiar with the American military situation, compares the Cheonan incident to 9/11. Some people say that this is going too far. But the possibility that they wish to conceal, that the Cheonan was sunk by friendly fire from the American submarine, is achieved by casting suspicion that it was sunk by North Korea. The result is that political circles and society are aroused, naturally making Americans want to liken the incident to 9/11.

A former reporter for the New York Times calls the sinking of the Cheonan a tragedy that is comparable to 9/11

An opposition member of the ROK National Assembly challenged the Minister of National Defense, demanding that the truth be revealed and noting that the sinking of the Cheonan may have been a mistake made by the US military. He was criticized by rightwing media as “a foolish congressman trusting conspiracy theorists.” The same label was applied by the mass media to US and Japanese representatives who sought to inquire into the truth of 9/11.

Rep. Park Yongson Engages the Minister of National Defense over “The American Inadvertent Bombing Theory,” which was Officially Rejected as False

Following the sinking of the Cheonan, if the US and ROK had announced that the Cheonan was attacked by the North and they would counterattack, the result would have been full-scale war. However, the US military in South Korea is moving toward withdrawal. The command in case of emergencies is scheduled to be transferred from the US to the ROK military in 2012. Moreover, leadership of international politics in the Korean peninsula is in process of transfer from the US to China with the approval of US administrations from Bush to Obama.

Within the military-industrial complex centered in the Pentagon, there must be opponents of multipolarization who wish to reverse this. They do not wish to sit back and watch East Asia fall under Chinese hegemony in this manner, with US military withdrawal. They naturally seek to take advantage of the Cheonan incident to induce war between South Korea and North Korea, and, as at the time of the Korean war, develop it into war between the US and China so as to reverse multipolarization in East Asia. Although I may be projecting too far, one may even suspect that they provoked the friendly attack by concealing from the ROK military the underwater navigation of the US submarine around Byaengnyeong Island.

If a great war again erupts on the Korean peninsula triggered by the Cheonan Incident, even if Japan does not bribe the US with the “sympathy budget”, the stationing of US forces in Japan would continue, and the US would again view Japan as an unsinkable aircraft carrier. The Japanese economy would thus again benefit from Korean special procurements after sixty years. This would be a desirable outcome for Japanese who favor dependency on the US.

However, amidst the strife centered, US multipolarists appear to be stronger than the military-industrial complex (and US-Britain centrists). The result is that the Cheonan Incident has not led to a second US- Korean War. Further, what is regrettable for those in Japan and the ROK who wish to continue dependence on the US, the US has transferred to China the role of mitigating the aggravated North-South relationship.

Chairman Hu Jintao of China, on 30 April, talked with President Lee Myung-bak who attended the opening ceremony of the World Expo in Shanghai. Three days later he hosted a visit from North Korean President Kim Jong-il, making possible a China-North Korea summit. It is unclear whether Six-Party talks will be held subsequently, but China has certainly strengthened its role as mediator between North and South Korea.

Many South Korean citizens have come to distrust government pronouncements on the Cheonan Incident. In the ROK, the fact that the American submarine sank near the third buoy may change at some future time from “conspiracy theory” to fact. As long as ROK national policy remains one of dependence on the US, the matter of the third buoy will have to be suppressed. But to the extent that the ROK moves toward multipolarization (emphasizing China and coexistence between North and South), the lid will be taken off.

Mysterious Missile Launched in Southern California and Possibly Phoenix, Pentagon CANNOT Confirm Who Fired It
November 9, 2010 by Alex

The Intel Hub
Breaking News Update 12:37pm Pacific: Fox News just reported that the three major possibilities are a government operation, private rocketeer or something sinister. Fox News has reported that the Pentagon does NOT know who fired the missile and therefore cannot deem the immediate area safe.

A video that appears to show a missile launch off the coast of California is so far “unexplained” by anyone in the military, a Pentagon spokesman told reporters Tuesday morning

Multiple officials have pushed the fraudulent theory that the missile was simply a contrail. This is almost laughable. How stupid do these people think we are?

Last night a mysterious missile was fired of the coast of southern California. Right now we do not know who fired it or why. This is a very curious incident that could possibly be used as a staged event.

Video was taken from a KCBS chopper that showed a huge contrail which obviously indicates some sort of missile launch. If witnesses had not got this launch on video, the Pentagon may have denied that it happened all together.

NEWSER – The Pentagon has had nearly a day now to explain the apparent missile that soared into the sky off the coast of California and it’s come up with … zilch. What’s more, because defense officials still don’t know what it was, they can’t exactly say it’s nothing to worry about, a Pentagon spokesman said today. A traffic copter from a CBS affiliate captured the video of the projectile, which was about 35 miles out to sea near Los Angeles, during rush hour. The Missile Defense Agency, the Navy, and the Air Force all say they’re clueless, reports

A mysterious missile launch off the southern California coast was caught on video Monday evening by a KCBS news helicopter. The spectacular contrail could easily be seen up in Los Angeles, but who launched this missile and why, remain a mystery for now. The magnificent images were captured from the KCBS chopper around 5pm. The location of the missile was described as west of Los Angeles, north of Catalina Island, and approximately 35 miles out to sea. A Navy spokesperson tells News 8, this wasn’t its missile. He said there was no Navy activity reported in that part of the region.

Sources have indicated that there was not only a missile in Southern California but also in Phoenix. Whether this is true remains to be seen. What happened in Southern California was possibly a cover up for the event that took place in Phoenix. A citizen reporter has posted pictures of a rocket over Phoenix on the Above Top Secret Forum.

Two rockets in two days?

How is it possible that NORAD was unable to track this so called missile?

This event coincides with a report on ICBM Malfunctions which documented the engineering failure that led to the temporary shut down of 50 land based nuclear missiles.

Pentagon Expects Report on ICBM Malfunction This Month

Tuesday, November 9th GSN

A Pentagon “operations review board” is investigating the engineering failure that led 50 land-based nuclear missiles in Wyoming to go temporarily off-line in the early morning hours of October 23, Lt. Gen. Frank Klotz, who heads the Air Force Global Strike Command, said at a breakfast session with reporters.

The incident left missile operators unable to monitor or control the status of one squadron of Minuteman 3 ICBMs at F.E. Warren Air Force Base via computer for 46 minutes, he said. Another 100 missiles at the installation were unaffected by the malfunction.

However, 319th Missile Squadron crews activated backup security systems, including closed-circuit television and field inspections, to ensure there were no intrusions, Klotz said. If necessary, the weapons could have been launched by an airborne command-and-control system.

The ongoing technical investigation, which will assess the “root cause” of the failure and recommend any needed changes to operations or maintenance practices, should report out “within the next two or three weeks,” Klotz said.

Failure Shuts Down Squadron of Nuclear Missiles

Oct 26 2010, 4:36 PM ET 247
President Obama was briefed this morning on an engineering power failure at F.E. Warren Air Force Base in Wyoming that took 50 nuclear intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs), one-ninth of the U.S. missile stockpile, temporarily offline on Saturday.

The base is a main locus of the United States’ strategic nuclear forces. The 90th Missile Wing, headquartered there, controls 150 Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic nuclear missiles. They’re on full-time alert and are housed in a variety of bunkers across several states.

On Saturday morning, according to people briefed on what happened, a squadron of ICBMs suddenly dropped down into what’s known as “LF Down” status, meaning that the missileers in their bunkers could no longer communicate with the missiles themselves. LF Down status also means that various security protocols built into the missile delivery system, like intrusion alarms and warhead separation alarms, were offline. In LF Down status, the missiles are still technically launch-able, but they can only be controlled by an airborne command and control platform like the Boeing E-6 NAOC “Kneecap” aircraft, E-4B NAOC aircraft or perhaps the TACAMO fleet, which is primarily used to communicate with nuclear submarines. Had the country been placed on a higher state of nuclear alert, those platforms would be operating automatically because the frequencies used to transmit nuclear codes would be interfacing with separate systems, according to officials.

According to the official, engineers believe that a launch control center computer (LCC), responsible for a package of at least five missiles, usually ten of them, began to “ping” out of sequence, resulting in a surge of “noise” through the system. The LCCs interrogate each missile in sequence, so if they begin to send signals out when they’re not supposed to, receivers on the missiles themselves will notice this and send out error codes.

Since LCCs ping out of sequence on occasion, missileers tried quick fixes. But as more and more missiles began to display error settings, they decided to take off-line all five LCCs that the malfunctioning center was connected to. That left 50 missiles in the dark. The missileers then restarted one of the LCCs, which began to normally interrogate the missile transceiver. Three other LCCs were successfully restarted. The suspect LCC remains off-line.

Commanders at the Air Force Base sent warning notices to colleagues at the country’s two other nuclear missile command centers, as well as the to the National Military Command Center in Washington. At that point, they did not know what was causing the failure, and they did not know whether other missile systems were experiencing similar symptoms.

According to the official, engineers discovered that similar hardware failures had triggered a similar cascading failure 12 years ago at Minot AFB in North Dakota and Malmstrom AFB in Montana. That piece of hardware is the prime suspect.

The defense official said that there had not been a power failure, though the official acknowledged that that explanation had made its way through public affairs channels. Engineers working on the system presented a draft of their initial findings late this afternoon, the official said.

An administration official, speaking about the president’s ability to control nuclear forces, said: “At no time did the president’s ability decrease,” an administration official said. “

Still, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Adm. Michael Mullen, was immediately notified on Saturday, and he, in turn, briefed Secretary of Defense Robert Gates.

“We’ve never had something as big as this happen,” a military officer who was briefed on the incident said. Occasionally, one or two might blink out, the officer said, and several warheads are routinely out of service for maintenance. At an extreme, “[w]e can deal with maybe 5, 6, or 7 at a time, but we’ve never lost complete command and control and functionality of 50 ICBMs.”

The military contends that command and control — “C2″ in their parlance — was not lost.

An Air Force spokesperson, Christy Nolta, said the power failure lasted less than an hour. “There was a temporary interruption and the missiles themselves were always protected by multiple, redundant, safety, security and command and control features. At no time was there any danger to the public,” she said.

Another military official said the failure triggered an emergency inspection protocol, and sentries were dispatched to verify in person that all of the missiles were safe and properly protected.

When on alert, the missiles are the property of the U.S. Strategic Command, which controls all nuclear forces. When not on alert status, the missiles are under the control of a subordinate organization, the Global Strike Command,

A White House spokesperson referred questions about the incident to the Office of the Secretary of Defense and to the Air Force. A spokesperson for the Global Strike Command did not immediately respond to questions.

The cause of the failure remains unknown, although it is suspected to be a breach of underground cables deep beneath the base, according to a senior military official.

It is next to impossible for these systems to be hacked, so the military does not believe the incident was caused by malicious actors. A half dozen individual silos were affected by Saturday’s failure.

There are about 450 ICBMs in America’s nuclear arsenal, some of them bearing multiple warheads. 150 are based at Minot and about 150 are housed at Malmstrom AFB in Montana. The chessboard of nuclear deterrence, a game-theory-like intellectual contraption that dates from the Cold War, is predicated upon those missiles being able to target specific threat locations across the world. If a squadron goes down, that means other missiles have to pick up the slack. The new START treaty would reduce the number of these missiles by 30 percent, but the cuts are predicated upon the health of the current nuclear stockpile, from warhead to delivery system to command and control.

An administration official said that “to make too much out of this would be to sensationalize it. It’s not that big of a deal. Everything worked as planned.”

Senate Republicans have been pressing Senate Democrats to spend more money ensuring the current strategic nuclear arsenal, which dates to the early 1980s, is ready to go. The treaty requires the vote of two-thirds of the Senate to be ratified.

In 2008, Gates fired the Secretary of the Air Force and its chief of staff after a series of incidents suggested to Gates that the service wasn’t taking its nuclear duties seriously enough. At one point, a B-52 bomber flew across the continental U.S. without realizing that its nuclear weapons were “hot.”

National Journal’s Megan Scully contacted a spokesperson for Sen. Jon Kyl, a top GOP critic of START, who said that “We don’t know what happened and why.” The spokesperson refused to comment on “media reports.”

If there is anyone out there who still reads Newsweek you might be particularly interested in picking up a copy of the October 4, 2010 edition. While the cover story focuses on Sarah Palin and Republican women, one of the more interesting features stories is written by Joel Kotkin entitled, “The New World Order.” In this article, Kotkin argues that “Tribal Ties – Race, Ethnicity, and Religion – Are Becoming More Important Than Borders.” The first page of the article, contains a color-coded map denoting new regions of the world not defined by contemporary governmental borders but those designated by region, race, and culture.

The rest of the article is devoted to a breakdown of the reasoning behind the new borders of which there are 19 new regional governments, 4 city states (London, Paris, Singapore, and Tel Aviv) and 6 Stand-Alone countries (Brazil, France, Greater India, Japan, South Korea, and Switzerland.)

Although attacked as a conspiracy theory for years in the mainstream media, Newsweek’s article places the United States in league with Canada as part of the “North American Alliance,” suggesting that “The U.S. and Canada are joined at the hip in terms of their economies, demographics, and culture.”

Mexico, however, is not included in this new version of the North American Union as it is lumped in to the “Liberalistas” region alongside Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, and Peru. Laughably, the author claims that these states are “standard-bearers of democracy and capitalism in Latin America” and that their economies are “trying to join the ranks of the fast-growing economies.” Of course, anyone with any sense of what goes on beyond their own borders (however temporary they may be) knows that Mexico is not a standard-bearer of anything beyond absolute chaos and poverty.
Not surprisingly, Joel Kotkin, the writer of “The New World Order,” is an adjunct fellow at the Legatum Institute, an international think-tank that “researches and advocates for an expansive understanding of global prosperity.”(Legatum) It’s website states:

The Legatum Institute is unique in its philosophical commitment to human dignity, liberty, and prosperity, its market principles and business approach to addressing global challenges, its integrated understanding of development, governance, and national security, and its willingness to test and implement its findings through ‘real world’ programs. It forms an intellectual hub for the Legatum group of companies, learning from them and nurturing and protecting the core purposes of the organisation. It is a ‘think tank with teeth’ that contends for good ideas that deliver great consequences.
Couching its goals in flowery language of peace, prosperity, and freedom, the Legatum Institute is nonetheless a globalist organization. Indeed, the Legatum Institute is part of a larger organization called the Legatum Group, which is described by the Guardian as “a private global investment organization focused on investing in the international capital markets and the promotion of sustainable development.” The Guardian also compiled a list of the Big 10 of think-tanks, and Legatum Institute was solidly among them at position number six.

While the mainstream media continues to claim that anyone who believes in a North American Union or plans for a One World Government is a delusional conspiracy theorist, it continues to push the agenda of both. Although doublespeak in the media is nothing new, it is quite significant that so many outlets have begun to mention the erasure of borders and the blending of nations. There can be no doubt that it is time for the American people to wake up and realize that these plans exist and that they are moving forward at a rapid pace.

Something that looked like a missile over Phoenix.,

Topic started on 5-11-2010 @ 08:50 PM by General.Lee

Several members have photographed and reported a rapidly-rising object that appears to have originated from Luke Air Force Base west of Phoenix, AZ at 5:30 PM local (Pacific) time. The object portrayed characteristics of a missile launch with slightly arcing trajectory, lingering plume, and rapid ascent.

However, there are reports that some people have observed a winged aircraft with blinking lights once the object passed high over Scottsdale.

I know I am going to get blown out of the water with this, but I’m going to share it anyways. I will give you the precursor to my conversation for the purposes of context.

I live in Phoenix, AZ. I left work at 5:30 AZ time from Scottsdale, AZ. I entered Shea Blvd. approximately 5:37 PM from 70th St. I turned and headed west on Shea. To the direct west /southwest I noted a smoke plume that started at the ground and continued up to some type of aircraft. I immediately knew this was NOT a jet aircraft since the smoke plume started at ground level. The smoke plume was extremely thick, much like the space shuttle would produce. Within minutes this aircraft appeared to me, to be on the edge of the atmosphere. Don’t ask me how I know, I am just giving you my interpretation. I am a licensed pilot and have been an aviation buff most of my life.

I managed to snap a few pics of the smoke plume with my cell phone. I will up load them later. At this point my first guess was that this aircraft originated near Luke AFB based on where where the smoke plume originated.

I arrived home at my normal time, about 5:50 PM. I took my wife out back to show her the plume. She was freaked out about it as well. She then said, “why don’t I call John Doe?”. I said, “yea, get him on the phone, I’d like to hear what he has to say”. John Doe is obviously a pseudonym to protect my source. He is in the Air Force and works at Luke AFB. My wife got John on the phone, I told him what I saw and said this had to be rocket powered. He simply said, “your’e correct. You do know they’re retiring the space shuttle, right?” and I replied, “yes”. He said, well, what you saw is the latest technology, it is rocket powered and it is orbital. It is to replace the space shuttle.

So, I began voicing my concern given that Obama was in India with the entire Whitehouse staff and a battery of warships. I said, something is going on. He simply said, “yes, something is going on”. I went on to tell him about the USGS data posted here recently that almost simultaneously triggered every seismic sensor in the US and in fact across the world. He confirmed there was an event. I said, “was it natural” and he said “no”. I said was it nuclear and he said, “yes, but unintentional”. I said, “what country?” and he replied, “guess”. I said “India” and he said, “yes”. I inquired “an accident?” and he replied, “yes”. I inquired, “in a silo” and he replied, “yes”.

I asked him if there was anything to worry about, he said, “not yet, not stateside”. He said Obama was there for containment and this is a HUGE deal. You will NOT read about this nuclear event on the news. But this is an event of epic proportion.

That is virtually my entire conversation. I asked questions based on my own common sense and he answered “yes” or “no”. This clearly explains why Obama took his entire staff as well as a fleet of warships, etc. This also explains why we are being distracted with “mail bombs” and such on the news. It also explains the seismic event that nobody seems to want to report in the news.

This is what I know, this is what I was told by a fighter pilot from Luke AFB. Believe it or don’t. I’m just throwing it out there.

COMMENT: This launch could be anything. Allegedly there was a nuclear explosion that went off underground, involving India and a serious incident brewing that unconfirmed rumor has it brought Obama and the massive military force to India. Secondly there exists the possible deployment of satellites that could involve Project Bluebeam, it could be extra surveillance technology assuming that they are getting ready to launch operations or it could involve operations in space tracking the ET threat that I have said is not ET but of a Supernatural level, physical beings that are involved with the UFO’s. Keeping an open mind is paramount at this time.

Nuke rumors? What do you make of this?

The Truth about the Gulf Oil Spill, and FACTS to back it up

The Truth about the Gulf Oil Spill,

The BP oil “spill”or “leak”in the Gulf of Mexico is a national nightmare that seems to have no end.In a recent speech, Barry Soetoro (aka Barack Obama) said “There is oil leaking.

Not Natural Born — TRUTH MATTERS

EPIC FAIL – Obama Jokes About His Birth Place @ 2010 Correspondents Dinner

We need to stop it, and we need to stop it as soon as possible.” Ummmmm…it’s not a leak, Mr. Obama. It’s a volcanic gusher spewing out an Exxon Valdez every two to four days. This is a blow out, an explosion of oil spewing out of the earth under great pressure. In the words of Wilford Brimley in the 1981 movie Absence of Malice, “You had a leak? You call what’s goin’ on around here a leak? Boy, the last time there was a leak like this, Noah built hisself a boat.”

What is really going on in the Gulf of Mexico? I will give you the facts and let you “connect the dots.” Keep in mind the well-documented history of “false flag” events which are indicative of the “Hegelian Dialectic” (i.e., problem, reaction, solution). Click HERE for an overview of this technique as well as over 70 historical examples.

Before the Explosion

We now know (through witness testimony from Tyrone Benton) that there were cracks reported in the drill casing two weeks prior to the disaster and that it was leaking, but BP did nothing about it. (LINK)

Hours before the explosion, Deepwater Horizon installation manager Jimmy Harrell was witnessed by other rig workers screaming “Are you ****ing happy? Are you ****ing happy? The rig’s on fire! I told you this was going to happen!” (LINK)

Goldman Sachs sold 44% of their total holdings, 4,680,822 shares of BP stock in the first quarter of 2010. The investment firm earned about USD $266 million on the sale. (LINK)

Contrary to popular opinion, the Deepwater Horizon (Mississippi Canyon 252) oil rig that exploded is not the property of BP, but rather is the property of Transocean.

Both companies are financially directed by Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, and UBS investment bankers, all operating in the Rothschild League of banks.

BP CEO Tony Hayward sold £1.4 million worth of his BP shares weeks before the explosion. This represented 1/3 of his holdings. (LINK)

A little over one week before the explosion, Halliburton purchased an oil spill prevention company called Boots & Coots. Apparently, Halliburton also had some “psychic insight” on what was soon to come. (LINK)

Halliburton has admitted that it was involved in the “cementing” process (a process that involves plugging holes in the pipeline seal by pumping cement into it from the rig). Halliburton was forced to admit in testimony at a congressional hearing in April 2010 that it knew that the cementation jobs were likely to fail.

Just hours before the rig explosion, The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) took part in a “surprise inspection” aboard the Deepwater Horizon. In an interview, Zac Zimmerman revealed how odd this particular BLM visit really was, in light of the fact that many rigs have burned for weeks at a time without collapsing. (VIDEO)

Bureau of Land Management was doing an surprise inspection on oil rig 2 hours before it exploded!

On April 14, 2010 (6 days before the explosion), the Management Board of the Eurex Stock Exchange introduced an equity option on shares of Transocean. Get this….the equity option was effective on April 20th… the day of the explosion. Basically, this gave all the “insiders”ONE FULL DAY to dump their uninsured Transocean stock (using put options) at the highest possible price, then repurchase the same stock after it plummeted. (LINK)

The Explosion

What caused the explosion? Why would the explosion on the surface of the platform create the situation in which crews are unable to stop the oil flow from the well’s head, which is nearly a mile deep? I understand that the oil rig sunk after a horrific fire, so I guess it’s possible that the sinking platform could have somehow irreparably damaged the pipeline at the floor of the Gulf, but it seems unlikely to me, with all the safety features on these rigs and wells. (LINK)

One worker on the rig at the time of the explosion (10 PM on April 20th) reported that the lights on the platform went out just before the explosion. She was one of the 115 people who escaped the burning rig. Eleven others were not so fortunate; they remain missing and are presumed dead. (LINK)

Coincidentally, (or was it?) the oil rig exploded on Hitler’s birthday, just in time to poison Earth Day 2010.

Reaction to the Explosion

Obama(along with Department of Homeland Security) sent SWAT (“Special Weapons and Tactics”) teams to the Gulf to “inspect”the rigs and platforms. Why on earth would you deploy SWAT teams in response to an oil spill unless it was an act of terrorism, an act of war, or they if they were sent to carry out some sort of covert operation? (LINK)

COMMENT: this article might explain the confusion as to whether Obama sent SWAT to the oil rigs or a SWOT. However, either could be true for all we know.

The Oil Spill and SWOT or SWAT?

Wackenhut (aka G4S) has been hired by BP to block and/or arrest reporters who attempt to interview the workers in and around Grand Isle, LA. Wackenhut is a known CIA-front group (LINK)

and also has ties to other “shadow government” agencies. Wackenhut’s private thugs are forcing the public off public beaches. (VIDEO)

BP Oil Leak – G4S Wackenhut Security Officers Blocking Reporters Protest

Yahoo! News’ Brett Michael Dykes reported that BP paid busloads of temporary cleanup workers to show up as “stage props” for Obama’s visit to the oil spill cleanup operations on Grand Isle. Jefferson Parish Councilman Chris Roberts (whose district encompasses Grand Isle) told Dykes that BP bused in “hundreds” of temporary workers to clean up local beaches. According to Roberts, “as soon as Obama was en route back to Washington, the workers were clearing out of Grand Isle too.”(LINK)

A local Louisiana resident commented, “The cleanup crew was there for appearances only; their garbage bags were empty. When Obama left, they got on a bus and left, too.” (LINK)

BP has admitted to buying Google and Yahoo keywords in an attempt to control publicly available information about this disaster. (LINK)

The FAA has declared a “no-fly zone” in the Gulf. (LINK)

There seems to be a complete cover up and news blackout of the events as they are unfolding.(LINK) (LINK)

BP Slick Covers Dolphins and Whales

Obama has authorized the deployment of more than 17,000 National Guard members along the Gulf coast? (LINK)

What exactly are these National Guard troops going to be doing? Are the troops going to be used to help stop the oil or to control the public? Could the government be preparing for mass evacuations? (LINK) (LINK)

Obama is not using his authority to stop the damage in the Gulf, but is more concerned with passing the Cap-and-Trade bill, (LINK)

Did you notice that it’s no longer referred to as “global warming”but rather “climate change?”Have you ever wondered why? The truth of the matter is that since 1995, the earth has NOT been warming (LINK),

so they had to rename the issue. Of course, it didn’t help them when over 31,000 scientists signed a petition rejecting global warming! (LINK)

But the facts didn’t stop Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Citigroup and the other Wall Street “behemoths”from buying heavily into global warming and carbon trading. You see, these companies that made billions off of derivatives and other scams and are now getting bailed out on your dime are going to make billions from the carbon trading scam.

Why did Obama refuse the help of “thirteen entities that had offered the U.S. oil spill assistance within about two weeks of the Horizon rig explosion?” Was he more concerned about ramming through his environmental agenda? (LINK)

This is classic Agenda 21 (aka “sustainable development”), a UN program spearheaded by George H.W. Bush at the Rio Conference, where he implemented this “de facto”US policy. (LINK)

A few of the primary tools that Agenda 21 uses to implement control, steal private property, and further the eugenics agenda (VIDEO)

Agenda 21– Eugenics And Depopulation

are the global warming lies, man made water shortages, environmental disasters, and the Endangered Species Act. (LINK)

Oil, Gases, Chemicals & Dispersants

Hydrogen sulfide, benzene, and methylene chloride and other toxic gases are also spewing out (along with the oil) in concentrations 1000 times greater than what the EPA considers to be “safe” for humans.Any one of these chemicals in these concentrations would be lethal. Mixed together into a toxic soup, the oil disaster is truly unthinkable and a medical and health disaster of unfathomable proportions. When the hurricanes come they will absorb this toxic seawater and drop it as “toxic rain.” (LINK)

BP (with approval from the US government) has dumped hundreds of thousand of gallons of their toxic chemical dispersant, Corexit 9500, at their undersea wellhead and on surface waters. (LINK)

Because it is so incredibly toxic (four times more toxic than the oil and twenty times more toxic than other dispersants), the UK has completely banned Corexit 9500, since it ruptures red blood cells, causes internal bleeding, andliver & kidney damage. If there were a major oil spill in the UK’s North Sea, BP would not be able to use it, (LINK)

so why is BP being allowed to use Corexit 9500 in the Gulf of Mexico?

Corexit 9500 is produced by Illinois-based Nalco Corporation. A search of Nalco’s Web site reveals the company history, which leads right to the doorstep of Goldman Sachs! (LINK)

Yes, Goldman Sachs owns a controlling interest in Nalco (via Apollo Management). (LINK)

If you dig a little deeper you will find Nalco is also associated with Warren Buffett, Maurice Strong, Al Gore, George Soros, and Hathaway Berkshire. (LINK)(LINK)

The toxic chemicals have evaporated into the atmosphere and have condensed, falling on the plant life, farms, and the entire environment surrounding the Gulf of Mexico causing corrosive lesions on plants and killing birds. It’s raining chemicals in Louisiana & Mississippi.(VIDEO)

The residents of southern Louisiana are now experiencing a “toxic Gulf” washing ashore. (VIDEO)

The evidence is growing stronger and stronger that there is substantial damage beneath the sea floor. (LINK) (LINK)

Why is Evergreen Air (a known CIA-front company) spraying Corexit chemtrails in the Gulf by the cover of night, literally dumping toxic chemicals on people’s homes? (LINK) (LINK)

And please don’t be so naïve as to believe that the government wouldn’t allow harm to its own citizens. This is the same government that poisoned its own citizens during prohibition. (LINK)

(INCLUDE MEDICAL EXPERIMENTS)

This is the same government that used US soldiers as guinea pigs for radiation experiments and mustard gas experiments. (LINK)

This is the same government that used soldiers and civilians as “unknowing test subjects” for studying the effects of LSD on the brain. (LINK)

And this is the same government that is currently allowing plastic, silicone, and petroleum to be included in McDonald’s Chicken McNuggets. (LINK)

Why are dolphins, sharks, other marine life, and various birds fleeing the Gulf? Remember the Tsunami in the Indian ocean a few years back? The animals fled first, while the clueless people stayed behind and got clobbered by the deadly wave. Could a similar event be brewing in the Gulf? All it takes is one hurricane to turn the entire region into a toxic stew of chemical poison.(LINK)

Could the giant gas bubble and magma deposits which have been detected below the ocean floor result in a potential tsunami of biblical proportions? (VIDEO)

BP OIL SPILL: VOLCANIC TSUNAMI AND POISON GAS ALERT

The First Amendment?

Shockingly, CNN reports that the US government has issued a new rule that would make it a felony crime for any journalist, reporter, blogger or photographer to approach any oil cleanup operation, equipment or vessel in the Gulf of Mexico. Anyone caught is subject to arrest, a $40,000 fine and prosecution for a federal felony crime. (LINK).

First Amendment Has been Suspended

Yes, this is happening right now in America. This isn’t a hoax.I know, it sounds more like something you might hear about in China or Venezuela or some other nation run by dictators. But now it’s happening in the USA. When those who seek truth are branded criminals by the government, it is only a matter of time before that government expands its criminalization labeling to include anyone who disagrees with it. (LINK)

The Gulf Oil Spill Too many coincidences

April 20: Deepwater Horizon explodes.

84 days later, the leak continues spewing a much debated number of gallons per day into the Gulf of Mexico (estimates range from 800,000 to 3 million gallons/day).

Speculation on the how’s, the who’s and the why’s behind this “accident” is running rampant in the media and on the internet. Yet for all the media coverage available – getting the facts on Tiger Woods’ extramarital activities or whether or not, Brittney Spears is wearing panties seems easier and the evidence is usually more conclusive. Maybe we need TMZ to cover this story instead of the mainstream media.

The official story is riddled with inconsistencies and missing details, but what is clear is that there are too many unexplained coincidences. These inconsistencies easily lend themselves to conspiracy theories that become difficult to simply dismiss.

Leading up to the accident is a list of strange events and coincidences…

Since the Obama administration took over in Jan. 2009, the Center for American Progress, led by former Clinton Chief of Staff, John Podesta, has played a major role in forming the administration’s energy policies. CAP , of course is the George Soros sponsored “progressive” think tank. In April 2009, a CAP report stated that the America has a moral obligation to spend whatever is necessary to help poorer nations deal with the effects of the “global warming” caused by industrialized nations like the U.S. They already used the EPA to declare that emissions of six key greenhouse gases – carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, hydrofluorocarbons, perfluorocarbons and sulfur hexafluoride “threaten the public health and welfare of the American people”. Since the inauguration the administration has been pursuing Cap & Trade, the Copenhagen Treaty and the rest of the “green agenda” with a passion. At one point the White House even appointed a known progressive revolutionary, Van Jones as their ”Green Jobs Czar”. He has since stepped down and returned to a role at CAP.

In Feb. 2009, George Soros invested $900 million in Petrobras, the state controlled oil company of Brazil. Then, as “luck” would have it (for Soros), the Obama administration decided in Aug. 2009 to loan Petrobras $2 billion for a deep water off shore drilling project off the coast of Brazil. The proposed project is in water up to 4 times deeper than the Deepwater Horizon well that exploded in the Gulf. After the well explosion, the administration immediately suspended all new drilling operations and shut down 33 other wells in the Gulf due to safety concerns with deep water drilling. I wonder if Petrobras would benefit from such a decision?

According to reports and confidential BP internal documents, the well had a variety of problems including bad wiring, a leak in the “blowout preventer” and sealing problems that may have led to the methane eruption. Some of these problems appear to have been known as early as February, two months before the accident. Additionally there were procedural and safety problems with the oil rig that may have also contributed to the explosion. BP is now also reporting undocumented tampering with well sealing equipment.

In another interesting twist, just one week before the explosion, Halliburton a major player in this saga, acquired Boots & Coots, a small but extremely experienced oil well control company. Their claim to fame was the work they did in Kuwait extinguishing and cleaning up the well fires set by retreating Iraqi troops during the first Gulf War. Was Haliburton worried about problems with the well?

As for Haliburton themselves, they admitted during the recent Congressional hearings that they had carried out a cementing operation on the Deepwater Horizon only 20 hours before the rig exploded.

Both workers and BP officials now say gases were leaking through the new cement, prior to the blast. Investigators say the leaks are probably the cause of the accident.

Coincidentally (considering all the well problems since Feb.), Goldman Sachs decided to sell 44% of its’ BP stock holdings (4,680,822 shares) during the same timeframe. The transaction was worth $266 million and helped them avoid a $96 million loss in the weeks after the explosion.

Also according to the U.K. Telegraph, BP CEO Tony Hayward sold about 33% of his BP stock in the 30 days prior to the spill. The transaction involved 223,288 shares which sold for $2.066 million. This sale helped Hayward avoid a loss of approximately $625,000. Hayward quickly used his profits to pay off his mansion in Kent. Did Goldman Sachs and Hayward know something about the troubles before the well blew up?

Then, there is the suspicious behavior of our government. To start with there was the refusal to waive the Jones Act to allow foreign ships to help with the relief efforts. There were also offers from several countries such as the Netherlands, Romania, Norway, Spain, Mexico, Canada, Sweden and Britain made a variety of offers of aid, from skimmer ships to technology. Only Canada, Mexico and Norway’s offers were accepted, the rest were either turned away or remain “under consideration”.

Additionally, the federal government has blocked and hindered the efforts of Louisiana, and the other Gulf states in taking action to protect their own coastlines. Efforts by Gov. Bobby Jindal to build sand berms to help keep the oil from washing ashore were blocked by the federal government. The Coast Guard also broke up a flotilla of barges set up to create an oil barrier.

There were also those bizarre Congressional hearings with BP and the bulk $20 billion prepayment for spill damage claims. The money was given to the federal government to administer. Who hands over that much money when they claim they haven’t completed their own internal investigation of the cause? It is worth pointing out that they (BP) like to say that BP stands for Beyond Petroleum and that they are heavily invested in many forms of alternative energy as well as a proponent of carbon credits and trading. They also were a huge contributor to Obama’s presidential campaign. Even after all the bad press and the $20 billion payout is there enough upside in Cap & Trade to make it worth staying in the President’s good graces? Remember carbon trading is an estimated $10 trillion annual business if Cap & Trade passes.

There are also other controversies such as the oil dispersants being used. The criticisms run from the EPA’s claim that they are too toxic to the fact that the ones being used are new and untested. Kevin Costner claims to have an oil/water separator system that could capture oil from the surface and return clean water to the Gulf. Since the system is untested, the EPA is concerned over environmental impact so they are moving slowly with putting the system into service. Could the environmental impact of removing the oil from the water without chemicals really be worse than doing nothing or using the questionable dispersants?

Another significant piece to this story is that most deep water wells have redundant (2) “blow out preventers” yet for some reason BP was a given a waiver to operate with only one on the Deepwater Horizon well, even though it is a very deep well. The waiver was granted last year by the U.S. Minerals Management Service. Why? Do campaign contributions buy waivers? Just asking.

Need more? The FAA declares area over the spill a no-fly zone. Obviously they want to keep unnecessary aircraft out of the area (media helicopters, for sure) but are they hiding something else? There is speculation in the oil and gas industry trade publications that this disaster is far from over and things have the potential to get a lot worse. Some experts believe that BP has tapped into a massive oil field that is covered by a large methane gas bubble capable of creating pressure at the well head of 100,000 psi which is 100 times what the equipment is designed to deal with. This has the potential to create an underwater oil volcano which could wreak havoc on the surrounding area by generating tidal waves and clouds of toxic gas. Is there imminent danger that the government is not telling us about? A cover up?

Check out this article from Petroleum World, titled “The Well from Hell”:

Over the past several years we have seen the formation of the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX), which is funded by a variety of organizations, many of which have ties to the administration, pushing the “green agenda” of Cap & Trade. We have watched Al Gore (by the way a major investor in CCX) turn climate change into a full fledged industry. We have watched the U.N., the world’s elite and environmental extremists turn “climate change” into a radical movement bent on reshaping the global energy structure and redistribution of wealth. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that as a carbon credits trading operation, CCX will have the potential to make its’ investors very rich (some estimate $10 trillion annually) if Cap & Trade passes. So the question is -Is this about saving the planet or greed? Is the real green agenda more cash for the elite?

Will there soon be a cry from the Progressive Congressional Caucus calling for the nationalization of the oil industry? In the past, Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D) CA., a socialist moonbat, has called for nationalizing the oil companies, as have left leaning commentators such as MSNBC’s Chris Matthews. What’s even worse is that many Democrat voters actually believe this might be a good idea. Surely the answer to our problems is the government not greedy businesses like BP, right? Funny though how political donations from the evil corporations are still accepted by our saviors! I guess when you are saving the world no money is too dirty.

“You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it’s an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.” – Rahm Emanuel

So ask yourself – what’s really going on here? Is the accident in the Gulf a “crisis” of opportunity for the administration to push through Cap & Trade? Is there a dragging of feet to get this thing capped to make the point that fossil fuels are unsafe? Remember according to Carol Browner the administration is in charge and calling all the shots in the Gulf, so no excuses right? It can’t be lost on most rational people that there are many glaring inconsistencies in this story and its’ relevant subplots. What is the real root cause; greed, incompetence, coincidences or conspiracy? My hunch is some of each but regardless this feels like another crossroads. Will this “accident” fuel more fundamental transformation of our country and our way of life? Will it be an excuse to further destroy our economy by becoming the catalyst for Cap & Trade?

Oil Spill a Catastrophe of Monumental Proportions: Is It Sabotage?

Mexican Drug Mafia Invades Texas

July 24, 2010

The United States is under attack by narco terrorists invading from the failed state of Mexico and Obama and the federal government are doing nothing about it.

Los Zetas crossed the border near Laredo, Texas, and reportedly seized two ranches in the area indicated by the orange square above.

In June, the Mexican drug mafia forced the closure of the Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge in Arizona. Authorities in Arizona admit that criminals now control a drug and human smuggling corridor that stretches from the border into metro Phoenix. Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu explained in June that the Mexican Mafia controls three counties in his state.

Now drug smugglers are repeating the pattern in Texas.

On Saturday, the Cypress Times, an online newspaper in Cypress, Texas, reported that the murderous Los Zetas has crossed into the United States and taken over at least two ranches in the Laredo, Texas area. The owners of the farms have evacuated and were not harmed.

“I can personally vouch that this info came in late last night from a reliable police source inside the Laredo PD,” Jeff Schwilk, founder of the San Diego Minutemen, told the online newspaper. “There is currently a standoff between the unknown size Zeta forces and U.S. Border Patrol and local law enforcement on two ranches on our side of the Rio Grande.”

Kimberly Dvorak, writing for the Albuquerque Examiner, reports that two sources inside the Laredo Police Department have confirmed the incident. “We consider this an act of war,” said one police officer on the ground near the scene. There is a news blackout of this incident at this time and the sources inside Laredo PD spoke on the condition of anonymity, writes Dvorak.

The DBKP blog contacted the the Laredo Police Department on Saturday. “We have been advised to say nothing. The Webb County Sheriff is taking the lead on this and they’re advising that they can’t confirm anything either,” a spokesperson told the blog.

On March 30, 2008, the Dallas Morning News reported Mexican drug cartels operated military-style training camps in at least six such locations in northern Tamaulipas and Nuevo León states, some within a few miles of the Texas border, according to U.S. and Mexican authorities and the printed testimony of five protected witnesses who were trained in the camps.

“Traffickers go to great lengths to prepare themselves for battle,” a senior U.S. anti-narcotics official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told the newspaper. “Part of that preparation is live firing ranges and combat training courses…. And that’s not something that we have seen before.” In the state of Tamaulipas, Los Zetas train with other mercenaries, including the Kaibiles from Guatemala, the officials said.

The Justice Department warned local police in Arizona and California about Los Zetas violence along the border. “The violence will spill over the Mexican border into the United States and law enforcement agencies in Texas, Arizona and Southern California can expect to encounter Los Zetas in the coming months,” warned an intelligence bulletin issued by the feds. The Justice Department and Homeland Security consider the Mexican drug cartels as the greatest organized crime threat to the United States.

Los Zetas was founded by an elite force of assassins from Mexican Army deserters and is now integrated by corrupt ex-federal, state, and local police officers. Los Zetas was first hired as a private mercenary army for Mexico’s Gulf Cartel, but since February of this year have gone independent and are now enemies of its former partner.

In the first eleven months of 2008, Los Zetas killers were directly responsible for the deaths of 5,300 people, including soldiers, their own operatives, civilians, journalists, and rival drug traffickers.

In 2006, Mexican president Felipe Calderon supposedly declared war on the drug cartels. Since Calderon’s declaration, more than 25,000 people have been killed in Mexico due to drug violence. In June of this year alone hundreds of people in Mexico died from drug-related violence.

Last week CBS News said Mexico’s drug Mafia had adopted “al-Qaeda tactics” after a car bomb exploded across the border from El Paso, Texas, in Ciudad Juárez, killing two federal officers and a musician and injuring 11 people, including several bystanders. In late June, the El Paso City Hall was struck by gunfire from a deadly narco terrorist attack across the border in Juárez.

In May, Obama announced that 1,200 troops would be sent to the border to crack down on smuggling and drug cartel violence. Critics have called it political posturing in the run-up to November congressional elections and a response to Arizona’s recently passed immigration law.

Republicans in Texas consider the deployment of 250 troops in their state an insult. “The National Guard troops are not an adequate or long-term solution — they’re only a Band-Aid,” a spokeswoman for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Bill White told the Star-Telegram. “Maybe Texas should sue the federal government for not doing its job,” added U.S. Rep. Michael Burgess, R-Lewisville.

Senator Kyl of Arizona said in June that Obama is refusing to secure the border until Congress passes so-called immigration reform. “The problem is, he said, if we secure the border, then you all won’t have any reason to support comprehensive immigration reform,” Kyl said at a town hall organized by a local Arizona Tea Party.

In June, the banksters admitted they fund the Mexican drug Mafia. Wachovia and Bank of America have moved money for Mexican drug smugglers.

“The admission came in an agreement that Charlotte, North Carolina-based Wachovia struck with federal prosecutors in March, and it sheds light on the largely undocumented role of U.S. banks in contributing to the violent drug trade that has convulsed Mexico for the past four years,” Bloomberg reported. “Wachovia’s blatant disregard for our banking laws gave international cocaine cartels a virtual carte blanche to finance their operations,” Jeffrey Sloman, the federal prosecutor who handled the case, told Bloomberg.

Bankster participation has also financed the Mexican Mafia’s expansion into Texas and Arizona.

Why The Los Zetas Ranch Story Matters – Confirmation And Why A Media Blackout?

By Digger / July 24, 2010 06:02 PM

I am receiving many messages of concern that they don’t believe that the story of the Los Zetas seizing multiple ranches in Laredo, Texas is true. They keep questioning the confirmation. They question why there are no visuals or pictures. “Where is the video!” they scream. So I will address those issues in this post.

First, let me clarify that I was also skeptical of the story when I initially heard word. It is certainly not because there haven’t been armed intrusions into the United States before from Mexico. There have been a ton in the last decade, but there have not been any where they would hold onto a position. They usually leave after a standoff or upon discovery.

The situation has become different in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico over the last few days. There have been gun-battles through the streets and fragmentation grenades used as the government of Mexico tries to run the Los Zetas out of their stronghold there. People died and were wounded. The city was on lockdown and the US government issued warnings to US citizens in the area to remain indoors. With our lack of border security and porous borders, it is not beneath my intellect to believe that the Los Zetas could be forced into a retreat into US territory and attempt to seize a hideout.

Not only that, but “first contact” with me of the initial story was from none other than Jeff Schwilk, founder of the San Diego Minutemen, who had a confirmed source in the area of Laredo. With this in mind I decided to go with the story, but to remain cautious. I clearly stated on the story that it was not 100% confirmed. It remained that way all night.

I put out my feelers throughout the night to try and collect information and other credible sources to confirm the occupation of ranches in Laredo. I did not receive actual confirmation until this morning when I got word that Kimberly Dvorak of the Examiner had made multiple confirmations within the Laredo Police Department. Up until this point the story had not spread wide. There was no reason for the Laredo Police Department to crack down hard and keep things truly blacked out as there was no heavy interest from media.

However, upon that second confirmation and her running her story “Los Zetas drug cartel seizes 2 U.S. ranches in Texas” the story to me at that point was 100% confirmed. I changed my story to reflect that and released it to the world – spreading it wide. It has since gone viral.

(Since then I have learned Kim has no less than three sources inside law enforcement. Kim was also involved in the Acorn investigation with Breitbart, so she’s no whipper snapper.)

Since that time many journalists have tried to get information from law enforcement in the area. With the flood of calls to the Laredo Police Department, others are now starting to receive dodgy kind of answers to their questions. This leads me to believe that there may indeed by a bona-fide news blackout as they try to resolve the situation.

We do have people looking into it and digging further; other things behind the scenes are going on for additional confirmation other than the current sources.

The question remains, what is a news blackout and why would it occur?
A news blackout is basically an order from the top down to disavow any knowledge of a situation or story. Deflect, disavow and deny. There are many reasons for this. They range from the legitimate tactical reasoning to the downright nefarious “cover up” reasoning.

Tactical reasoning is an easy one. It is so they can perform their duties with minimal intrusion. That one is very simple to understand.
Let us analyze the nefarious reasons though just for the heck of it shall we?

1. This would make the Obama Administration look horrible. Their lack of security along the border is well known. A breech of national security this large would create a firestorm of anger at the administration. Their aims to pass an amnesty for illegal aliens would be shot to pieces and all of their arguments against building true security in the form of a fence would go down with it. This would have ramifications in the upcoming November elections for congress.

2. There is currently a gubernatorial race going on in Texas. The current sitting governor, Rick Perry, is looked at as being weak on immigration. He stood up for in-state tuition for illegal aliens and has done little to crack down – or push for a crackdown – on illegal immigration in his state. This would destroy his “tough guy” and “tough on crime image”.

3. Local congressional races in Texas. As everyone knows all of the members of The House are up for election. Some of those are open borders supporters. This breach of security would show that their continued fight against closing down the border in any way is flawed logic (as if it took this story to actually show that – the same story could happen again tomorrow).

4. Local sheriffs and elected officials could be made to look bad. There could have been mistakes made during operations that they don’t want revealed. Or they could have not been properly prepared for them and this intrusion showed their incompetence.

5. Businesses. It’s no secret that some agriculture and other businesses use low-skilled illegal alien labor to operate. They do this to avoid taxes so that they can make a hefty profit and avoid all of the hassles of insurance and the like. Strong business interests and wealthy individuals with influence could bring their power to bear down and cover things up to keep their cheap labor flowing.

6. General corruption. Some people in our government are beholden to or on the take from the cartels, Los Zetas or the Mexican government itself. After all, we seem to hear stories daily of someone or another being busted for being on the take. Imagine how many actually are on the take and just haven’t been discovered.

Those are most of the nefarious reasons that I can think off of the top of my head as to why it would be covered up or blacked out.

I don’t truly believe any of them.
Let me make that entirely clear.

I don’t truly believe any of them.

I believe there is a blackout because local law enforcement and the Border Patrol are waiting for backup and authorization from the Federal Government to make any moves. Something like this does have cross border and international impacts. Things like that generally are handled by the federal government, as that is the primary reason we have a federal government in the first place.

The situation is relatively young and if they have the Los Zetas contained in one spot, there really is no reason to go all cowboy and charge into an unknown situation.

This sums up the current state of the situation and the path of how the story broke. I have no other knowledge at this time that is not contained here. We will find out soon the extent of this situation as it develops further. As I stated in the article – and it still remains – we don’t know if it’s only several members or a squad.

The story is still developing and I’ll report more as I find out.

BREAKING: Multiple Ranches In Laredo, TX Taken Over By Los Zetas [Update 3]
By Digger / July 24, 2010 04:11 AM

The bloodbath continues along our southern border and now word is coming in that Los Zetas, the highly trained killers formerly with the Gulf Cartel, have crossed into the United States and taken over at least two ranches in the Laredo, Texas area. I am receiving word that the owners of the ranches have evacuated without being harmed. The source is law enforcement in the area.
(Update 2 story is now 100% confirmed by second source within the Laredo Police Department)

Founder of the San Diego Minutemen Jeff Schwilk tipped me off to this story and passes along the following information on the location. The ranches are said to be “near Mines Rd. and Minerales Annex Rd about 10 miles NW of I-35″.
Update 1 (Statement from Mr. Schwilk)

I can personally vouch that this info came in late last night from a reliable police source inside the Laredo PD. There is currently a standoff between the unknown size Zeta forces and U.S. Border Patrol and local law enforcement on two ranches on our side of the Rio Grande. The source tells us he considers this an “act of war” and that the military is needed on the border now!

Kimberly Dvorak at the Examiner has also confirmed the story

(Update 3: For those doubting the confirmation, I stand firmly behind Kimberly, but I have put together more on the confirmation and why this story truly matters at: “Why The Los Zetas Ranch Story Matters – Confirmation And Why A Media Blackout?”. There are three confirmed sources within law enforcement.)
Whether it is lone members or squads is not certain.

Anonymous sources in law enforcement in the Laredo area tonight have passed on word that US law enforcement agencies are in the area and are weighing their options regarding the ranches. The media has been silent on this incident and some law enforcement in the area say that they are furious that the media is not reporting the whole story of the continued violence along the border. Their frustrations are understandable because keeping the truth suppressed continues to hamper law enforcement from receiving the true support they need along the border.

The ranch assaults come on the heels of attacks in Nuevo Laredo that shut the city down as a gun-battle raged in the streets. Los Zetas blocked off intersections with vehicles and used fragmentation grenades to attack Mexican law enforcement. In the end 12 were killed and 21 injured in the assaults. Citizens in the area were told to stay in their homes and bullets whizzed all around.

Cypress Times

The U.S. Consulate in Nuevo Laredo had posted warnings on its website hours before the gunfire was reported by Texas citizens, “We have received credible reports of widespread violence occurring now between narcotics-trafficking organizations and the Mexican army in Nuevo Laredo.”

The U.S. Consulate went on to say, “The consulate confirmed that fragmentation grenades were used in the attacks and that suspected drug-gang members had blocked several roads, adding that it advised ‘all U.S. citizens in Nuevo Laredo to remain indoors until the security situation improves.’”

US Citizens in Laredo called 911 after hearing gunfire and explosions just across the border. Laredo police spokesman Joe Baeza deflected the concerns of citizens with what I see as utter contempt. He said there was no spillover violence onto the US side and “We were getting reports from people who live on the river’s edge that they could hear gunfire and explosions from the Mexico side,” Baeza said, “We didn’t have any incidents on the American side. It’s hard for people to understand who don’t live here … They’re not Vikings, they’re not going to invade us, it doesn’t work that way.”

This was said just a day before the reported breaking news on the ranches being taken above.

Violence has been on the rise along the border. In April 2010 a Border Patrol agent in Laredo shot and killed an lllegal alien drug smuggler near the Rio Grande
Los Zetas

The Los Zetas are highly trained killers initially trained by United States Special Operations forces to combat the drug cartels within Mexico. As the drug war heated up the Zetas saw more money in working for the cartels and joined up with the Gulf Cartel.

In March, 2010 there was a fracture between the Los Zetas and the Gulf Cartel when a Zetas leader was said to have been assassinated by the Gulf Cartel. They demanded that the killer be turned over to them. When the Gulf Cartel refused the Zetas captured 16 Gulf Cartel members.

Since March Los Zetas abandoned their stronghold in Reynosa and moved to Nuevo Laredo, just across from the border with Laredo, Texas. There are estimated to be over 1,000 Zeta members there.

Comment: I’ll make this as simple and short as possible. This crisis has very little to do with drug cartel activity. All of a sudden this year the drug cartels are moving into the United States taking over ranches? So, does anyone remember the David Koresh, Davidian Compound massacre? Janet Reno come to mind? We had a situation that involved no violations of gun possession that was proven. You did have a group of people that was forming their own community and just like Randy Weaver they were targeted to prevent any more such groups forming in preparation of the coming World Order, forming the North American Union and to make it easy the government couldn’t efford to allow any more self contained communities to be established.

Drug Cartels are controlled by CIA, no question about that and have been since the Vietnam War. They are the ficitious Alternate enemies to set up to establish justification for legislation that will be used not on the drug cartels but the legislation will be used for citizens later when martial law is declared. We can send 7,000 Marines to Costa Rica yet allow Mexican Drug cartels to enter the US without any enforcement action. Folks, they are preparing the way for the 350,000 Mexican militia to enter the USA via the underground tunnels in much the same way the under water tunnels between Russia to Alaska and Cuba to Florida for the Russians to enter when the invasion starts. The Russians in Alaska then will be taking cargo/commercial aircraft to land troops in Montana, Denver, and Wyoming areas.
